for the public to pay their respects to President Jimmy Carter starting 6 p.m. Sat. Jan. 4 to 6 a.m. Tue. Jan. 7.
Rail service will operate continuously during this time. Local bus routes from King Memorial Station will be detoured starting Thu. Jan. 2, and no parking is available at the station.
Bags are not allowed on the bus shuttles or at The Carter Center.
Mobility customers may call the reservation office for transport to The Carter Center or travel to King Memorial Station and take a Mobility shuttle. | Details

MARTA TO SUSPEND STREETCAR SERVICE FOR GEORGIA POWER REPAIR WORK
Shuttle Vans to Service Streetcar Route Jan. 13 - 17

ATLANTA – The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) will suspend streetcar service Jan. 13 – 17, 2025 to allow Georgia Power to make emergency repairs on Carnegie Way. MARTA shuttle vans, wrapped to look like the streetcar, will provide service along the streetcar route.

In addition to the scheduled Georgia Power work, other City contractors and utility companies will use the five-day streetcar suspension to conduct any necessary repairs or adjustments near the tracks.

The streetcars will resume servicing the route on Saturday, Jan. 18 at 8:15 a.m.
